CAA Community Tree Planting

CAA Community Tree Planting

Since 2009, CAA Members have helped the CAA Autogreen program plant over 48,000 trees in our communities with our planting partner, Forests Ontario.

These trees assist in offsetting the carbon dioxide produced by vehicles – another small, but significant way to help reduce our impact on the environment. Over 16,500,000 pounds of carbon will be offset from the environment over the lifetime of these trees.

On May 7, 2016, over 400 volunteers participated in CAA's annual Community Tree Planting Weekend. Three sites across the region held planting events, and here's what your communities accomplished:

  • Windsor – 200 trees planted.
  • Kitchener Waterloo – 460 trees planted.
  • Mount Albert (York Region) – 2,200 trees planted.

Over 2,800 trees were planted in total and we couldn't have done it without you.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the event. It was a great day!
